The Tbreds hosted their ‘Cardinal vs. White’ spring game this past Thursday, which didn’t have much action, but it was a testament to where this program is headed. The offensive line struggled, especially with run blocking. Pass protection was mediocre throughout the game, but Tommy Burns found his receiver for the only touchdown scored that game. Standout players included #13 Jaydon Moore, #0 Drelyn Brown, and #20 Bralyn Bodie.

Jaydon Moore was great in his pursuit of the ball carrier and in his dropbacks. He made some big tackles and played both sides of the ball toward the end. At receiver, he had a few touches and picked up yardage that would ultimately make the difference in an actual game. We’re excited to see what energy he’s going to bring this upcoming season, especially with him being a transfer from Aiken High.

Drelyn Brown, the transfer from Silver Bluff, didn’t have great run blocking, but he still made a way for himself and broke off some pretty solid runs for the offense. He’s a gritty runner and only sees one way, and that’s forward. His impact for the Tbreds in this upcoming season is inevitable and will be exciting to see on FNL.

Bralyn Bodie had an excellent game at db. He flew around, made big plays, and made sure he was where he needed to be. He held Kyson to minimal touches, which came from screens, and forced the quarterbacks not to look his way.

Overall, South Aiken doesn’t seem to have it figured out yet with the O-Line, but skill-wise they are growing and have great ball players on defense. We already know what a few players are capable of, and we can’t wait to see what the new transfers do in this upcoming season.
