Westside High School’s football team is preparing for their return to the field next season. On June 1st, they held their Summer Practice. Coaching staff tells us that they’re coming back better than ever.
Coach Justin Barnes - “If we just keep the pieces that we had last year and build on top of that, we should have a pretty successful season.”
The team is also bringing in new talent for the upcoming season. Young quarterback, Kaleb LaCarter, transferred to the Westside Patriots after leading the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers’ JV team to a championship in his freshman year. He says he’s looking forward to showcasing his talents to the CSRA, and leading Westside to another successful season.
QB Kaleb LaCarter - “I feel like I’ve been overlooked, so it’s about time to come out here and show what I can do.”
Coach Justin Barnes - “I think him and our offense is a match made in heaven.”
