QB Julian Abro On Fox Creeks Upcoming Season

This past week, I had the privilege of speaking with Fox Creek Football's own Julian Abro. Abro is a rising sophomore who will take on the huge task of starting at quarterback for Fox Creek this season.

The first question I asked the young quarterback was, “What does this year mean to you?” He immediately replied, “With this being my first year as a starting quarterback, I feel like I have to make an impact on the field, in the classroom, and all around the school.” Julian also shared that this year is personal to him and his team because they feel that, after being moved up to 4A, they all have something to prove.

I also asked him, “What did the previous quarterback, Nate Owens, teach you that you think will benefit you this year?” Abro mentioned the many small lessons Owens had taught him and how he had specifically taught him to “stay calm, collected, and trust yourself.”

Lastly, I asked Abro, “What player do you feel will have a breakout season this year?” Initially, he answered, “Bryson Crawford will have another incredible year, but it won't be a breakout year because we already know what he is capable of.” After a little bit of thought, Julian Abro stated, “CDub (Char’tavious Weaver), a player who has put in a ton of work, will have a huge breakout season this year.” As Fox Creek Football closes one chapter, the future remains bright with some young stars emerging and bringing a new culture to The Creek.
